ExplorACES is just around the corner and the action is picking up. I have the privledge of serving on the 2008 steering committee. It is a huge responsibility, but working with the team to prepare for this event has been an insightful professional development experience. Through working on this team, I have learned about website design, podcasting, program design and editing, event logistics and much more. If you are a student in the College of ACES looking for a way to get involved, this is it! Being a member of the ExplorACES steering committee requires leadership, responsibility, organization, communication, innovative ideas and a lot of hard work, but in the end I know for a fact that it will be completely worth it. I love having the ability to make a difference in the College of ACES while learning valuable professional skills and making new friends.
